Tobacco Farmers Contracted By BAT Receive An Insurance Payout Source from: NTV 09/18/2018 Tobacco farmers who are contracted to the British American Tobacco have received an insurance payout of 48 million shillings, as compensation for the drought and pests that destroyed most of the crop in the 2017/18 season. The UAP Old Mutual Group says the payout is targeted at 1,200 farmers in the Eastern, Western and Nyanza parts of the country.
