Azerbaijan: Number of People Working in Tobacco-growing to Reach 8,000

Stimulating measures will be held for increase of interest to tobacco-growing and wider opportunities will be created for availability of preferential loans and agroleasing services to farmers.

According to Oxu.Az, Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev made the due remark in his interview with the official website of the Yeni Azerbaijan party.

"In 2016 the tobacco-growing area will expand twofold to 3,000 hectares. This will dramatically raise the level of employment in this sphere, the number of people working in the sphere of tobacco-growing will increase by more than twofold from the last year and reach 8,000 people," the minister said.
