Pakistan: Meeting Discusses Tobacco Growers Problems Source from: The International News 09/23/2014 ![]() The Pakistan Tobacco Board reviewed the cost incurred by the farmers to grow tobacco.
The expenditures were reviewed during the cost of production (COP) meeting held under the aegis of the Pakistan Tobacco Board. Representatives of Pakistan Tobacco Board, Kisan Board Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tobacco industry attended the meeting. The meeting took a brief view of the expenditures of the tobacco crop for 2015. Representatives of the tobacco industry said the industry and Tobacco Board provided all facilities and information to the farmers to solve their problems and produce a good crop. They said the representatives of the Kissan and Tobacco boards were informed in written that COP would be formally launched from Mansehra on September 24 next. They said the COP would continue in Mardan, Swabi and Buner districts till Octo-ber 10. |
