<strong>China: Henan Strong Flavor Character High Quality Tobacco Leaf Development Project Gained Stage Result</strong>

On September 4 to 6, Institute of Tobacco of Henan Agricultural University held a review meeting on the project of "Strong Flavor Character High Quality Tobacco Leaf Development" in Sanmenxia city.

More than 30 Officials from China Tobacco Company, Technology department of Henan Province Tobacco Company and Sanmenxia Tobacco Company, and eight provinces (districts) tobacco companies, including Anhui, Jiangxi, Hunan, Shanxi and others, Shanghai Tobacco Group, China Tobacco Henan Industrial corp., China Tobacco Zhejiang Industrial corp. and Strong Flavor Character Project of Henan Agricultural University attended the meeting.

Technology department of Henan Province Tobacco Company introduced the overall development of the project and this project will be expended to the whole province tobacco production in the next stage.

Experts attending the meeting agreed that Henan province is one of the representative production areas of strong flavor character leaf tobacco. The project meets the requirements of cigarette manufacturers, and develops strong flavor high quality leaf tobacco by adopting high technology on tobacco planting and curing processes. Enditem
