<strong>China: Director of Fujian TMA Researches Leaf Tobacco Production and the Project of Relocation and Technological Transformation</strong>

During March 10 to 11, Lu Jinlai, Director of Fujian Tobacco Monopoly Administration, inspected Nanping and Sanming for checking leaf tobacco production and work of relocation and technological transformation.
 
During the investigation in Nanping, the delegation, led by Lu Jinlai, inspected the seedling base of the Wuyi Mountain Kaitai Tobacco Farmers Professional Cooperative, and the construction of the project of Shaowu Wuyi Leaf Tobacco Relocation and Technological Transformation and the technological upgrading project of Nanping City Tobacco Monopoly Administration Cigarette Logistics Distribution Center, and listened to working reports of Nanping Tobacco Monopoly Administration and Wuyi Leaf Tobacco Company.
 
Lu Jinlai affirmed the achievements of Nanping Tobacco Monopoly Administration and Wuyi Leaf Tobacco Company. For the next stage work, Lu Jinlai emphasized, firstly is to fully understand the current situation of tobacco industry facing. Now tobacco industry keeps large inventories on leaf tobacco production and leaf tobacco demand of industrial enterprises are decrease year by year, tobacco industry should further control tobacco planting area steady, improve the level of tobacco planting, and improve the quality of tobacco leaves. Secondly, the technological upgrading project of Nanping City Tobacco Monopoly Administration Cigarette Logistics Distribution Center should make full use of existing resources, achieve the effective allocation of resources. Thirdly, decide the disposal scheme of production lines of old facilities of Wuli Leaf Tobacco Company.
 
In Taining, Lu Jinlai and his delegation first came to the Qukou village, Xiaqu town, and inspected tobacco growing in the field, and asked the tobacco technicians about tobacco seedling/ field management and antifreeze and other working conditions, then travelled to Taining tobacco test station to learn the situation of biological control aphid cocoon bees work.
