<strong>China: Hubei Tobacco Monopoly Administration Checked and Accepted Tobacco Bases and Demonstration Cooperatives</strong>

During the middle of February to early March this year, the assessment team of Hubei Tobacco Monopoly Administration (Company), checked and accepted 4 national leaf tobacco bases and 6 industry demonstration tobacco farmer professional cooperatives built in 2013.

Officials from departments of production, acquisition, financial, infrastructure, and modern tobacco agriculture made this assessment team. They checked and accepted these units completely by listening reports, investigating, discussing, and checking documents under principles of national leaf tobacco bases construction and tobacco farmer professional cooperatives' demonstration cooperatives assement regulations.

Inspection results showed that the Hubei province successfully completed the task of the annual target construction in tobacco bases and tobacco farmer professional cooperatives' demonstration cooperatives, and achieved good results in 2013. According to the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration evaluation standard, the four new state-level bases and six tobacco farmer professional cooperatives' industry demonstration cooperatives achieved construction standards, and all passed the provincial assessment acceptance.
