Universal Leaf Corporation Recognises Its Best Workers

A USA based, Universal Leaf Corporation (ULC), a parent company of the Morogoro based Tanzania Leaf Tobacco Company (TLTC) and Tanzania Tobacco Company (TTPL), has awarded its best performing and longest serving staff for 2013.

The function was held in Morogoro as the company was celebrating the 2013/14 family day, 17 people were recognized as TLTC and TTPL longest serving members, while 15 were awarded as best workers.

TLTC Human Resource Manager, Mr Gabriel Thobias, said the awards were given to workers as a symbol of appreciation for their contribution to the company's achievements.

"The awards are recognitions of the job, which the workers are doing to the company. They also help families of recipient to know that TLTC and TTPL values their contributions as well as those of their relatives and that they will go a long way motivate others," he said.

Mr Ayoub Omar Ayoub was named as overall best worker of Universal Tanzania Company, whereas Lazaro Seni and Ameir Bomboko were named as the best workers for TLTC and TTPL respectively. Enditem
