<strong>China Issued Notice on 2014 Leaf Tobacco Production Bases Construction Work</strong>

On January 15, the State Tobacco Monopoly Administratio issued a notice on 2014 leaf tobacco production bases construction work arrangement, and decided to increse 130 modern tobacco agriculture production bases, 19 characteristics high quality leaf tobacco development bases and 14 leaf tobacco production pilot bases.

The notice stressed that tobacco industry should continue to push forward the construction of the leaf tobacco bases and to further intensify promote the development of characteristics high quality leaf tobacco, and to explore the practice of leaf tobacco lean production.
