<strong>China: Yunnan Yuxi City Invested RMB 240 Million on Building Infrastructures</strong>

In 2014, Yuxi city, Yunnan province will grab the opportunity of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration increasing water source project construction, it will set up planning of water source project, and complete the construction of leaf tobacco field infrastructures, to ensure the sustained and healthy development of tobacco production in the city. The city's infrastructures construction investment will reach 243 million yuan, an increase of 63% from 2013. Tobacco industry will provide 250 million yuan to the water source engineering construction, an increase of 190 million yuan from 2013.

According to report, in 2013 Yuxi city constructed 11 leaf tobacco field frastructure areas, and 3878 leaf tobacco production infrastructure projects and 2500 drought-resistant rainbow water cellar, and the total investment reached 184 million yuan.

In 2014, the approved number of leaf tobacco field construction projects in the city has reached 11 project areas, and 13873 projects. Projects includs 7500 rainbow water cellars, 3000 dense curing barns, and 25000 tobacco seedling sheds and 1284 units (sets) tobacco farm machinerys, with a total investment of 257 million yuan, including 221 million yuan subsidies from tobacco industry.
