Protesting Tobacco Producers Promised Bulgaria Govt Will Compensate Them for Lower Price

"At the protest of the tobacco producers held in the village of Kochan, municipality of Satovcha, it has been promised that the Bulgarian government would compensate them, if the tobacco purchase price was lower," Mayor of the village of Lyubcha, municipality of Dospat, Veliko Mutkov, said speaking for Radio FOCUS – Smolyan.

Mayor Mutkov, together with the mayors of the villages of Brashten and Tsrancha, took part in the protest, too.
 
The information about the compensations came from members of the parliament, who were in the village of Kochan.
 
The mayor added that the purchase campaign had not started yet in Lyubcha. In his words, around 40 tons of tobaccos are waiting to be sold. Enditem
