Protest Rally against Late Tobacco Purchase Campaign to be Stage in Bulgaria''s Capital City

A protest rally against the late tobacco purchase campaign and the low purchase price will be staged tomorrow at 8 a.m. in front of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Stanislava Valerieva with the Citizen's Control Association announced the news, FOCUS News Agency reported.

She said the rally had been provoked by the protest of tobacco growers which had been staged in Gotse Delchev last Friday and which had been attended by Angel Slavchev, Chairperson of the Citizen's Control Association.
 
The angry tobacco producers handed him a mouldy string of tobacco leaves which he has to set on fire as a sign of protest against the late purchase campaign and low purchase price.
 
Representatives of non-governmental organisations will also attend the demonstration. Enditem
