<strong>China: Guizhou Completed Leaf Tobacco Purchasing in 2013</strong>

Guizhou province, in south-west of China, has finished leaf tobacco purchasing in 2013, and total purchased 346.9 million kgs. All the purchased leaf tobacco was up and middle grade leaf tobacco, and 24.6 yuan for each kg leaf tobacco, and tobacco farmers gained total 9.6 billion yuan from leaf tobacco including all kinds of subsidies.

61.9 billion cigarettes has been sold in Guizhou in first 10 months in 2013. Sales revenue of tobacco manufacturing and commercial sectors accounted to 37.282 billion yuan in Guizhou province in first 10 months in 2013, increased by 6.183 billion yuan year-on-year; taxes and profits, 10.674 billion yuan, increased by 1.982 billion yuan year-on-year.
