<strong>China: City Communist Party Chief Inspects TobaccoPurchase in County</strong>

Secretary Gao Jinsong of the Chinese Communist Party Qujing City Committee in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province inspected the work of State leaf tobacco purchase at the Golden Bell Leaf Tobacco Station in Huize County of Qujing on September 2, conducting on-site verification and giving instructions on the relevant work.

Accompanying Gao Jinsong on the inspection were Secretary Chen Guobao and Deputy Secretary Zhu Yanfa of the Chinese Communist Party Huize County Committee.

During the inspection, Gao Jinrong went to the Golden Bell Leaf Tobacco Station to conduct on-site verification of the quality of leaf tobacco, on-site management, leaf tobacco transfer, etc, chatting with a local tobacco grower to learn about the acreage of tobacco, economic income, construction of support irrigation systems, rotation of tobacco crops, awareness out government policies on leaf tobacco production and sales, etc, and holding talks with staff members of the leaf tobacco station to learn about leaf tobacco preliminary inspection and purchase, construction of infrastructure facilities, the condition of operation of leaf tobacco packing machines, etc.

On the work of State leaf tobacco purchase during the current harvest season, Gao Jinsong required the local Communist Party Committees and governments at all levels to strengthen organization and leadership, to sufficiently create a favorable environment for State leaf tobacco purchase, to focus their energy on doing a good job of State leaf tobacco purchase, to enable local tobacco growers to get real benefits, and to actively do a good job of planning projects of building support irrigation systems for tobacco production in the local region.
