<strong>China: Research Council Delegation Inspects Yunyan Impression Tobacco Farmstead</strong>

A delegation from Yunnan Green and Ecological Leaf Tobacco Development Research Council, led by Executive Deputy President Cheng Yingxuan, inspected Yunyan Impression Tobacco Farmstead operated by HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province on July 23.
 
The delegation also included Deputy President Wang Xuezhi of Yunnan Green and Ecological Leaf Tobacco Development Research Council.

 
During the inspection, the delegation fully affirmed the active exploration and practice conducted by HongyunHonghe in the research and development of green and ecological leaf tobacco.
 
Accompanying the delegation on the inspection were HongyunHonghe leaders Yao Qingyan and Xu Liwei, Board of Directors Secretary Luo Jianhua, CEO Assistant Wang Shaokun, et al.
 
Cheng Yingxuan was former deputy chairman of the Standing Committee of Yunnan Provincial People's Congress while Wang Xuezhi was former deputy chairman of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
 
During the inspection, the delegation respectively visited tobacco fields, the aroma substances growing zone, the inter-planting greenhouse, the essences and flavorings extraction laboratory, etc at the farmstead to check the relevant production processes and procedures, where delegation members personally tried sample cigarettes.
 
After elaborately asking about the guideline and characteristics of the construction of the tobacco farmstead as well as the production practice and the achievements made so far herein, Cheng Yingxuan said that the construction of Yunyan Impression Tobacco Farmstead by HongyunHonghe means a new trial by the tobacco group in leaf tobacco production, which will be of very great realistic significance to further improving the safety of smoking of cigarette products and strengthening the characteristics of products.
 
Cheng Yingxuan expressed the hope that HongyunHonghe will make continued efforts in making leaf tobacco production more ecological, greener and more environment-friendly, and further promote the construction of the tobacco farmstead to higher levels.
 
In a recent exclusive interview with HongyunHonghe, Dr. Zhu Youyong, academician with China Academy of Engineering, botanist and chairman of Yunnan Provincial Association for Science and Technology, said that the construction of Yunyan Impression Tobacco Farmstead is in embodiment of a pure natural and green production idea, and that the production of leaf tobacco at the tobacco farmstead from growing and curing to eventual storage and fermentation is a high-quality production process particularly designed for high-end cigarette products.
 
Zhu Youyong said that the production of raw materials of leaf tobacco by a pure natural means like the approach adopted at Yunyan Impression Tobacco Farmstead will be an orientation of development of leaf tobacco production by the tobacco industry, which is very scientific, and that the construction of Yunyan Impression Tobacco Farmstead has contributed to making this orientation more specific.
 
It is tenable to say that the products of Yunyan Impression Tobacco Farmstead mean a type of enjoyment of safer and higher-end high-quality cigarette products, which signifies a very good model for the tobacco industry to take the path of exploration for and development of ecological production, ecological aromatization, ecological tobacco development and eventually ecological cigarette production, according to Zhu Youyong.
 
It was reported that the inspection by the delegation from Yunnan Green and Ecological Leaf Tobacco Development Research Council was an activity of investigation and research under exclusive subjects organized by the research council, which was intended to investigate the situation of development of green leaf tobacco production in Yunnan.
