<strong>China: County Government Delegation Inspects Fixed Assets Investment in Infrastructure</strong>

A delegation from the government of Luliang County in Qujing City of southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province, led by former Deputy Chairman Tai Shuguo of Luliang County Peoples' Congress, inspected the work of fixed assets investment in the project of construction of infrastructure facilities at Baishan Project Area of Xiaobaihu Township in the county on April 11.

The project of fixed assets investment in the project of construction of infrastructure facilities at Baishan Project Area of Xiaobaihu Township is a priority project under full-scale supervision by the Fixed Assets Investment Inspection and Supervision Office of Luliang County in 2013.

During the inspection, the delegation conducted on-site inspection at the sites of construction, and heard reports on quality control of the project construction, control of progress in project construction, investment control, safety control, etc in the project construction respectively given by the project fulfillment team (Xiaobaihu Township government), the construction operator (Beicun Village Villagers' Committee) and the project management institution (the local tobacco subcompany).

At the end of the inspection, the delegation draw the conclusion that the firstly, the local tobacco industry has invested heavily in the construction of infrastructure facilities for agricultural production in local rural areas over recent years, which has contributed to improving the conditions for production and living by local farmers and reducing labor intensity of farmers and lessening the economic burden on them; and secondly, in the construction of the project, management has been well regulated, both organization and operation have been normal, the division of duty and responsibility has been definite, the quality of construction work has been high, and progress in the construction work has been favorable.
