<strong>China: County Tobacco Subcompany Holds on-the-spot Meeting on Transplantation</strong>

Luoping County Tobacco Subcompany in Qujing City of southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province held on April 16 an on-the-spot meeting on the transplantation of tobacco seedlings onto fields, to make arrangements and planning for tobacco seedlings transplantation across the county.

On the morning of April 16, the participants in the meeting went to Xiaogande Village in Agang Township and Xingduolu Village in Luoxiong Township to visit sites of transplantation of tobacco seedlings onto fields under mulching film and sites of operation of pilot projects of generalizing whole-process farm machinery application in leaf tobacco production, hearing reports on standards and requirements for transplantation, management after transplantation, etc.

The meeting emphasized that top priority presently is to go all out to well manage the work of tobacco seedlings transplantation during the busy spring plowing season. It required various departments at all levels to give priority to the work of tobacco seedlings transplantation in "fighting the ongoing lingering drought, well managing the spring plowing, protecting the people's livelihood and promoting development" through meticulous organization, careful planning and full-scale promoting, to ensure sound fulfillment of the task of tobacco seedlings transplantation at the best time of the current busy spring plowing season.
