Higher Prices for More Zimbabwean Leaf

The average price 44 days into the tobacco marketing season was USD 3.78 per kilogramme, or 6 cents more than at the same time in 2012, on volume that at 77.8 million kilogrammes was 28 per cent more than last year, the Financial Gazette reported.

In an online story citing data from the Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board, the Financial Gazette said 51,083 growers of the registered 86,941 had delivered crop by day 44. Enditem
