JTI Leaf Services to Upgrade Danville Facility, Invest $7.5 Million in Tobacco Processing Tech Source from: Washington Post 04/24/2013 ![]() JTI Leaf Services' facility in Danville is getting a $7.5 million upgrade. Gov. Bob McDonnell said Tuesday in a news release that the company plans to invest in new tobacco processing technology at the facility. McDonnell is in Japan as part of a job creation and economic development marketing mission. He said he planned to express his appreciation for the project to officials with the company's parent, Japan Tobacco, at a meeting in Tokyo. The facility opened in 2009 and employs more than 270 full-time and part-time workers. Enditem |
