<strong>China: Delegation of Qujing City Tobacco Company Inspects Subcompany</strong>

A delegation from Fuyuan County Tobacco Subcompany in Qujing City of southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province on February 19 to check the work of on-site safety control of the central warehouse, cigarette service center, Dahe leaf tobacco station and Fucun leaf tobacco station.

The delegation, which was led by Deputy Manager Li Jinghui and which grouped leaders of the relevant departments of Qujing City Tobacco Company, was accompanied by Fuyuan County Tobacco Subcompany during the inspection.

In meeting with each cigarette retailer during the inspection, the delegation would kindly exchange opinions with the retailer, and patiently and carefully ask about the general size of cigarette inventories, the retail prices of cigarettes, the sales volume of leading marketable cigarette brands, unmarketable brands, the amount of profits, the trend of development of brands, the general situation of sales, demand for cigarette supply in the wake of the Spring Festival holiday season, management of supply of cigarettes of competitive brands to the marketplace in a next period of time.

The delegation asked clients to raise pertinent constructive opinions, and made on-site guidance and demonstration of ideas about the display and development of terminal brands, the image of retail terminals, sales at expressly marked prices, etc.

Through retailers, the delegation asked about the situation of sales of other goods, the purchase desires of the public, major economic sources of local residents, the situation of operation of local enterprises, the situation of migration of rural labor in the wake of the Spring Festival holiday season, etc. It well offered guidance to retailers on how to place orders for marketable goods, to satisfy the market demand.

Through on-site verification at cigarette retail markets, the delegation raised a package of requirements on the situation of cigarette marketing in Fuyuan County.

Firstly, in light of the weakness of retail markets in the wake of the Spring Festival holiday season, priority shall be given to strengthening the maintenance of markets, frequently making visits, frequently making exchange of opinions, increasing confidence in marketing and enhancing the operation capacity.

Secondly, at the off season, priority shall be given to strengthening training on marketing, enhancing the comprehensive technical capacity of salespersons, strengthening the construction of terminals, well controlling markets, fostering good products and promoting the customer service capacity to higher levels.

And thirdly, steps shall be taken to strengthen the training of retailers at evening schools, to promote the capacity of retailers to higher levels. Enditem
