Pakistan: Use of Technology for Tobacco Production Urged Source from: The International News 03/15/2013 ![]() Participants of a workshop on profit of tobacco crop on Thursday emphasised on the use of modern technology in agriculture sector to enhance production and get self-reliant in the field of agriculture. The workshop was organised by the Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC), Peshawar region. Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Ahmad Khan Bahadur was chief guest on the occasion. The participants said tobacco was one of the key crops of the province and played a vital role in the stability of the national economy by generating huge revenue. They said putting in practice the modern techniques would not only minimise the cost but also save the time of the growers. They said that besides the use of organic fertilizers, the use of chemical fertilisers and medicines in growing crops was also imperative for better production. Enditem |
