China: County Subcompany Assists Farmers in Sowing Tobacco Seeds

Luoping County Tobacco Sucompany in Qujing City of southwest China’s tobacco-producing Yunnan Province has recently managed to assist local specialized farmers in racing against time to sow tobacco seeds at the current sowing season by sending technicians to generalize the technology of placing seeds on trays with sowing machines.

The move of the county tobacco subcompany has contributed to enabling local farmers to reduce manpower and costs and increase efficiency.

It was reported that in the development of tobacco seedlings so far this year, Luoping County Tobacco Subcompany has urged local farmers to apply on a full scale the technology of placing seeds on trays with sowing machines in flotation development of tobacco seedlings.

In comparison with trading artificial seeding, mechanized seeding saves manpower, saves time, results in balanced placement of seeds on trays, raises the rate of accuracy in seeding, and prevents plant diseases. As the technology is capable of effectively lowering the intensity of labor and reducing risks, it has been well received by farmers. Enditem
