Bulgarian MEPs Support Local Tobacco Producers

Regarding the addressed declarations to the 18th Bulgarian MEPs in Brussels the National Association of Tobacco Producers (NATP-2010) received a reply from MEP from Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB) and member of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mariela Gabriel, press centre of the association announced.

Mariela Gabriel thanks to the Chairman of the National Association of Tobacco Producers Tsvetan Filev for all the efforts he put to protect the Bulgarian tobacco production. "I am aware of the problems of the Bulgarian tobacco producers and as a member of European Commission's Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development I can assure you that I will vote in favor of amendments that protect their interests. I am also one of the members of AGRI, who seek amendment proposed by Rapporteur Santos list of cultures supported by a coupled payment and its replacement with crops listed in Annex 1 of the Treaty (amendment 2023)," the letter of response of the Bulgarian MEP Maria Gabriel reads.
