China: Qujing City Tobacco Company Passes Acceptance Appraisal of Key Work

Qujing City Tobacco Company in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province, which doubles as Qujing City Tobacco Monopoly Administration, has passed an acceptance appraisal of its key work of establishing 25 outstanding leaf tobacco purchase stations and building three units of exclusive high-quality leaf tobacco production and supply bases.

On December 3-7, 2012, Yunnan Provincial Tobacco Monopoly Administration sent a panel of inspectors, led by Deputy Chief Deng Yunlong of its Leaf Tobacco Administration Division, conducted appraisal of the work of Qujing City Tobacco Company to establish 25 outstanding leaf tobacco purchase stations and build three units of exclusive high-quality leaf tobacco production and supply bases for technical acceptance.

In conducting the acceptance appraisal of the establishment of outstanding leaf tobacco purchase stations, the panel of inspectors, in comparison with the contents of appraisal and standards for appraisal, by means of "hearing, inspection and examination", and by focusing on the grassroots level and highlighting practical effects in terms of the construction of station facilities, basic management, human resources development, innovation, development, etc, performed strict appraisal and grading item by item.

In conducting the acceptance appraisal of the construction of units of exclusive high-quality leaf tobacco production and supply bases, the panel of inspectors, in comparison with the standards for acceptance appraisal, attentively heard reports given by Qujing City Tobacco Company and the relevant cigarette making enterprises, conducted on-site verification at the exclusive high-quality leaf tobacco production and supply bases respectively in Tongquan and Maming of Malong County and Baishui of Zhanyi County. The panel of inspectors fully affirmed the work of Qujing City Tobacco Company to build units of exclusive high-quality leaf tobacco production and supply bases. Enditem
