Guizhou government has arranged for leaf tobacco production in 2013: purchase 37.5 million kgs, of which first class, 55 percent, first and middle class, 96 percent, acceptability of leaf tobacco grade, 80 percent; purchase 25 million kgs of loose leaf tobacco; 3666.67 hectares tobacco field with irrigation system, build 10 water resources projects, and prepare 10466.67 hectares tobacco field; build 132 modern agriculture tobacco bases, establish 16 special leaf tobacco bases, and 180 tobacco farmers cooperations. Guizhou will increase the purchase price by 10 percent, and the structural adjustment subsidy of per mu will increase to RMB 150 yuan from RMB 75 yuan, and the subsidy of technology of first class leaf tobacco will increase to RMB 70 yuan per mu from RMB 40 yuan per mu.
