Norfolk OPP say the leaf was taken from a barn on the Delhi-Burford Townline Road in the former Windham Township in the early morning hours of Tuesday. Police did not say how much tobacco was taken. OPP are reminding farmers to lock barns, turn on lights, and keep watch for suspicious vehicles. "Specifically those persons that stop by the farm and express an interest in the crops you're growing and what is stored in the barns," police said in a media release. "Quite often they will attend the property during the day and be looking around the barns to check out where crops are stored and what kind of security systems are in place. "If confronted by anyone on the farm, they just simply come up with an excuse they were lost or they were looking for someone." If you see a suspicious person or vehicle, try to obtain as much detail as you can, such as the vehicle colour, make, and licence plate number, police advise. Don't be afraid to call police at 1-888-310-221 right away, OPP add. Enditem
