China: Huize County Tobacco Subcompany Successful in Promoting Application of Farm Machinery

Huize County Tobacco Subcompany in Qujing City of southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province, taking advantage of the favorable opportunity brought about by the government policy of extending subsidies for the purchase of farm machinery and government projects of generalizing farm machinery, has made intense efforts to generalize the application of farm machinery in tobacco production so far this year, achieving great successes. In promoting the application of farm machinery in tobacco production so far this year, Huize County Tobacco Subcompany has meticulously made efforts to organize and lead both dealers and farmers to select the right models of farm machinery, directly hold talks on prices, make demonstrations of new types of farm machinery, etc to strengthen the application of farm machinery in tobacco production in the county. The new types of farm machinery and new technologies of farm machinery selected have been widely well received by local tobacco growers, and have won relatively high comments. Presently, Huize County Tobacco Subcompany is taking steps to collate and compile archives of promotion of farm machinery in tobacco production across the county, conduct appraisal of relevant projects for technical acceptance, honor commitments to extending subsidies for the purchase of farm machinery of the designated models, and divide and assign promotional plans for the next year, to lay a solid foundation for further promoting the application of farm machinery in tobacco production in Huize County in future.
