China: Delegation from Jiangxi Province Visits Luliang County Tobacco Subcompany

A delegation from Shicheng County of Ganzhou City in east China's Jiangxi Province, led by Deputy Chairman Wei Biaogen of Shicheng County People's Congress, visited Luliang County in Qujing City of southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province on September 18, to study the work of leaf tobacco purchase in the county during the current leaf tobacco harvest and curing season. The delegation also included Director Huang Yanming of the Agricultural and Industrial Work Committee of Shicheng County People's Congress and Deputy Manager Liao Chengfu of Shicheng County Tobacco Subcompany.

Accompanied by Deputy Director Li Qingrong of the Leaf Tobacco Trade Department of Qujing City Tobacco Company and Communist Party Committee Deputy Secretary and Deputy Manager Yuan Guoqing of Luliang County Tobacco Subcompany, the delegation conducted on-site study of State leaf tobacco purchase at Xiaobaihu Leaf Tobacco Station in Luliang County. At the leaf tobacco station, the delegation heard reports given by the chief of the station on the basic situation of the station and the situation of ongoing State leaf tobacco purchase at it; saw operation of the leaf tobacco purchase line at the station; elaborately asked about the workflow of leaf tobacco purchase and purchase measures at the station; and exchanged views with the hosts on the application of machinery in leaf tobacco production in the county, management of stations and points, etc. Through the visit, the delegation was able to have in-depth understanding of the work of State lead tobacco purchase in Luliang County, and made very high comments on the quality of leaf tobacco of all grades produced in Luliang County. The delegation said that Shicheng County will draw on the successful experience and practice of Luliang County in State leaf tobacco purchase, further do a good job of managing State leaf tobacco purchase, promote management of State leaf tobacco purchase to higher levels, and improve models for the management of State leaf tobacco purchase in Shicheng County.
