China: Delegation form Neighboring Regions Visits Qujing City Tobacco Monopoly Administration

A delegation from China Tobacco Chuanyu Industrial Co., Ltd. - the operator of the tobacco industry in Yunnan's neighboring regions of Sichuan Province and Chongqing City - visited Qujing City Tobacco Monopoly Administration on August 24, holding talks with leaders of Qujing City Tobacco Monopoly Administration on leaf tobacco and cigarette trade between the two sides. Led by Deputy General Manager Cui Jianhua, the delegation from China Tobacco Chuanyu Industrial Co., Ltd. grouped representatives from the exclusive leaf tobacco growing bases office and raw materials department of the company. During the visit, the two sides conducted exchanges in leaf tobacco production and allocation, and the work of cigarette marketing. Director and Manager Wu Lizhu and Deputy Managers Li Jinghui and Liu Yongjun of Qujing City Tobacco Monopoly Administration, which doubles as Qujing City Tobacco Company, introduced to the delegation the situation of leaf tobacco production and allocation, the construction of units of exclusive high-quality leaf tobacco production bases and cigarette sales by Qujing City Tobacco Monopoly Administration. Wu Lizhu extended warm welcome to the delegation, and briefed the guests on the situation of leaf tobacco production and work planning for a next period of time by Qujing City Tobacco Monopoly Administration. He said that since the beginning of 2012, Qujing City Tobacco Monopoly Administration has invested heavily in the development of outstanding leaf tobacco production areas, which has contributed to relatively sharply improving the quality of leaf tobacco. On the work of Qujing City Tobacco Monopoly Administration over a next period of time, Wu Lizhu put forward his specific working guidelines: Firstly, Qujing City Tobacco Monopoly Administration will undergo optimization to carter to the demand of manufacturing enterprises. Secondly, the company will strive to establish core raw materials areas for competitive manufacturing enterprises and competitive cigarette brands, in order to better provide guarantee for the quality and styles of brands of manufacturing enterprises, and, at the same time, ensure stability of the leaf tobacco sales markets in Qujing.
