China: County Communist Party Chief Inspects Leaf Tobacco Purchase

Secretary Zhang Changying of the Communist Party Committee of Malong County in Qujing City of southwest China’s tobacco-producing Yunnan Province led a delegation to Yuewang, Nazhang and other townships of the county on August 15 to inspect the work of State leaf tobacco purchase there during the current leaf tobacco harvest season, affirming the work done and raising requirements for future work.

Accompanied by Malong County Tobacco Subcompany Communist Party Committee Secretary and Manager Zhu Shuliang, the delegation conducted on-site verification and inspection. While fully affirming the work of State leaf tobacco purchase from the county already done, Zhang Changying raised a package of requirements for future work:
Firstly, all townships shall meticulously organize the work of leaf tobacco purchase, and closely cooperate with one another to guarantee fulfillment of all tasks of State leaf tobacco purchase.
Secondly, efforts shall be strengthened to set up checkpoints to block illegal trading in leaf tobacco, to practically strengthen leaf tobacco purchase contract management, and to maintain the normal order of leaf tobacco purchase.
And thirdly, the local tobacco monopoly administrative authorities shall strengthen the provision of service, to practically create a favorable environment of equitable, fair and harmonious trading for local tobacco growers.
The delegation also included Malong County Communist Party Committee Standing Committee Member and deputy chief of Malong County Li Shiqiao and Malong County Communist Party Committee Standing Committee Member and General Office director Yang Junliang. Enditem
