China: Qujing City Tobacco Company Holds Symposium of Leaders of Subcompanies

Qujing City Tobacco Company in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province, which doubles as Qjing City Tobacco Monopoly Administration, held on August 1 a symposium of leaders of the county-level tobacco monopoly administrations or tobacco subcompanies in the city, to determine the various working targets and tasks for accomplishing the work of tobacco production for 2012 with a high quality. At the meeting, Manager Wu Lizhu of Qujing City Tobacco Company delivered a keynote address and members of the leadership of the company respectively made arrangements for work in a next period of time. In his address, Wu Lizhu emphasized that the tobacco industry of Qujing City should give priority to doing a good job of organizing leaf tobacco purchase, cigarette marketing, administration over tobacco monopoly, basic management, creation of outstanding performance by grassroots units, development of a corporate culture and human resources development; practically promoting all aspects of work to higher levels; ensuring accomplishment of the work of tobacco production for 2012 with a high quality; and striving to promote realization of leaf forward development of enterprises. The participants in the meeting also included inspectors and assistant inspectors with Qujing City Tobacco Company, the directors (or managers) of the county-level tobacco subcompanies, the chiefs of the administrative offices and departmental chiefs of the county-level tobacco subcompanies in Qujing City.
