India: Record Flue-cured Price In Andhra

Flue-cured prices on auction floors in Andhra Pradesh have soared to their highest ever levels, according to a story in the latest issue of the BBM Bommidala Group newsletter. Prices in the northern light soil areas of West Godavari were said to have hit Rs153 per kg. The highest price paid last season was Rs144 per kg. After 105 days of sales, 117.06 million kg of flue-cured had been sold in Andhra. About 82 million kg had been sold by the same stage of last season’s sales. Enditem
