Deputy director He Zehua of State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, Vice chairman of Yunnan Provincial People's Congress Cheng Yingxuan, and General Manger of China Cigarette Sales and Marketing Corporation Cao Huaqing inspected Yuxi Mannor in Fengwo village in Eshan county on June 13. Accompanying the delegation during the inspection were Director Zhushaoming and Chairman Liu Wandong of China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Corp., and Director Yu Yundong of Yunnan Tobacco Monopoly Administration, and President Li Suiming and Deputy Director Zhang Jianhua of of Hongta Group. The delegation heard reports on the situation of organic vegetable demonstration area, organic rice rotation area, organic tobacco farming area and ecology fruits area in Yuxi Manor, and visited Comprehensive Management Center of Yuxi Manor. He Zehua learned the situation of environment protection, fertilizer, integrated pest and disease management and curing technology. He said that the idea of crop rotation is very good, and meet the requirement of return to nature of modern people. The planting of organic tobacco leaves is very professional. Rotation every one year and 300 days' rest for the land every year allow the soil to support the growth of the tobacco leaves with 100% saturated nutrients; the land is measured and formula is made for the application of fertilizer; tobacco leaves cannot be too thin or too fat, if too thin, the output can be affected, if too fat, the quality will be inferior; straws are returned to the land so as to realize the really organic production with the traditional farming to nourish the land; in terms of disease and insect prevention, Hongta Group spends much time and energy and takes various biological preventive actions such as mutual biological restriction, physical capture attraction, etc., ensuring no pesticide used for the whole production process; pickup after tobacco leaves are mature is also very professional; generally, one stem has 25-25 pieces of leaves and the leaves on the top and the bottom should be removed with only the 22 pieces growing the best and in the most stable state… Only slow work can have fine result.
