China: Yunnan Luoping Completes the work of Soil Sampling for Green Tobacco Farming

Soil sampling of Virginia tobacco-growing areas of 10 towns in Luoping should be gathered in 2012 under the project of the Study on Yunnan Green Tobacco Production. Luoping tobacco subcompany paid attention to the project and appointed special workers to charge this task. One soil sampling is chosen by each 2000 mu (133.33 hectares). The soil sampling will be sealed in a bag, with detailed information such as geographic coordinate, altitude, pictures on it. Luoping tobacco subcompany has finished the work of soil sampling from tobacco field by May 15. 150 sets of soil sampling, 150 sets of information, and 150 sets of pictures (450 pictures) have been collected in Luoping, Yunnan province.
