China's Leaf Tobacco Exports Increased

China exported 72,776 tons of leaf tobacco valued at US$340.5 million during January-August, according to a Xinhua story quoting figures from the General Administrations of Customs. Exports were up by 5.1 per cent in volume and by 2.1 per cent in value on those of the first eight months of 2010. The country's leaf tobacco exports during August totaled 12,302 tons valued at US$56.5 million. China exported 90,784 tons of leaf tobacco valued at US$438.6 million during the whole of last year.
