JTI Leaf Working 'For The Benefit of Malawi'

JTI Leaf has pledged to increase its investments in the Malawi tobacco sector, according to a Malawi Nation story quoting the company's communications manager, Limbani Kakhome. JTI Leaf is currently extending a warehouse, a project that it expects to be completed before the end of this year. When asked about JTI Leaf's recent performance in Malawi, Kakhome reportedly said the company was a "strong contender on the market". He said the company was vertically integrated, meaning that it procured tobacco in Malawi for its own needs. And he added that the company would continue to do so "for the benefit of Malawi as a whole". Enditem
