India Produces About 730 Million kg of Tobacco Source from: Tobacco Reporter 05/23/2011 India is estimated to have produced about 730 million kg of leaf tobacco during its 2010-11 crop season, according to a story in the latest issue of the BBM Bommidala Group newsletter.
About 270 million kg of this total is thought to have been accounted for by flue-cured, which comes under the purview of the Tobacco Board of India.
Flue-cured is grown in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, and to a limited extent in Maharashtra. Enditem
