India Produces About 730 Million kg of Tobacco

India is estimated to have produced about 730 million kg of leaf tobacco during its 2010-11 crop season, according to a story in the latest issue of the BBM Bommidala Group newsletter. About 270 million kg of this total is thought to have been accounted for by flue-cured, which comes under the purview of the Tobacco Board of India.
