Jamaica's Leaf Production Resurgent

A recent survey of Jamaica's tobacco industry says that there has been a resurgence in cultivation of the crop during the past two years, according to a story by Vernon Davidson for the Jamaica Observer. The survey calculated the industry's farm-gate value at $397 million and found that most of the industry's 573 farmers plan to expand production.
