Tobacco Growers May Turn to Keeping Sheep Source from: Tobacco Reporter 06/30/2010 Some Bulgarian tobacco growers may turn to keeping sheep if the government cuts their subsidies, according to a Novinite story.
The Bulgarian Milk Producers' Association's executive director, Mihail Velkov, believes that the country's milk production sector has a bright future if the government undertakes measures to encourage quality improvements and exports, especially to non-EU countries.
The Association is currently working on a project to secure markets for the country's sheep milk in China, Saudi Arabia and Australia. Enditem
