Subsidies Survive Budget Revision Source from: Tobacco Reporter 06/22/2010 Bulgaria's revised state budget, approved last week, includes the provision of BGN116 million in subsidies for tobacco producers, according to a Novinite story.
This, the first mid-year budget update in Bulgaria since 1997, was said to have been made necessary largely because of low consumer demand and the government's unwillingness to increase taxes.
