Universal Declares share Dividend

Universal Corp's board of directors has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.47 per share on common shares, payable on August 9, to common shareholders of record at the close of business on July 12. In addition, the board declared a quarterly dividend of $16.875 per share on its Series B 6.75 per cent Convertible Perpetual Preferred Stock, payable on June 15 to preferred-stock shareholders of record on June 1. The board said the Annual Meeting of Shareholders would be held on August 3 at the company's headquarters. And it set the record date for the meeting as June 15. Enditem
