China: Yunnan Tobacco Industrial Corp. Projects Profits and Taxes on 62 Billion Yuan

Recently, Yunnan Tobacco Industrial Corp. has set up this year's key targets: to ensure this year's taxes and profits increase 4 billion yuan to 62 billion yuan year-on-year, and strive to achieve 63 billion yuan. In this year, Hongta Group makes efforts to ensure taxes and profits up 2.5 billion yuan, and Hongyun Honghe Group up 2 billion yuan. In January, Yunnan Tobacco Industrial Corp. produced 1.10 million cases, increased 3700 cases, or 0.34 percent year-on-year, sold 1.14 million cases cigarettes, increased 28300 cases, or 2.6 percent, over same period of last year, taxes and profits reached 11.9 billion yuan, increased 734 million yuan, or 6.57 percent year-on-year. Yunnan cigarette manufacturing industry has aggressive target. According to Yunnan tobacco industry development plan, until 2012, Yunnan tobacco industry will achieve output of 80 billion yuan, brand sales volume of 10 million cases, tobacco industrial and commercial taxes and profits reach to 100 billion yuan.
