Regional Tobacco Program Offered

A regional flue-cured tobacco meeting is planned for Dec. 16 at the Forsyth County Agricultural Building in Winston-Salem. All Davidson County farmers are invited to hear speakers Drs. Blake Brown, Loren Fisher, Grant Eillington and Mina Mila. The event begins at 10:30 a.m. Lunch is provided, but advance registration is required by Friday by calling 703-2857. The meeting will offer pesticide credits and cover topics such as fertilizer economics and materials in flue-cured tobacco, blackshank management, energy efficient curing technologies and more.
