China: Leaf Tobacco Redrying Company Installs Advanced Quality Tracking System

Chenzhou Tiantai Leaf Tobacco Redrying Co., Ltd. in south central China's Hunan Province has newly installed an advanced leaf tobacco quality tracking system for its Griffin threshing and redrying line, signifying the company's entry into the information era in terms of quality tracking in online processing of leaf tobacco. The quality tracking system consists of four subsystems - the leaf tobacco sorting system, the leaf tobacco feeding system, the finished leaf tobacco products packing system and the leaf tobacco tracking and control (factory processing) system. Data and information of all the four subsystems are commonly stored in the central databank of the company, to realize real-time sharing of data in the local area network. Through the quality tracking system, operators can easily check information on leaf tobacco sorting, feeding, finished products packing, changes in leaf tobacco grading, etc, and can exercise real-time management and control over systemic working parameters, production line parameters, product blending formulas, processing calendars, leaf tobacco records on the production line, etc in the whole process of production.
