Leaf Prices to Rise Above Cost of Production

Farm-level tobacco prices in Hubei Province will be increased to above the cost of production for the first time in several years, according to a Tobacco China Online report quoting the Hubei Daily. Farm prices of middle grade flue-cured, Burley and oriental will increase by about 28 per cent, 30 per cent and 22 per cent respectively. The report said that the increased prices would help farmers to enjoy a better life. Enditem
