General Tobacco adds Lines at its Plant in Mayodan

General Tobacco said Monday that it has added new manufacturing lines at its $55 million plant in Mayodan. With the new lines, General Tobacco is producing its 100 styles in hard packs, adding to their catalog of domestically produced tobacco products. The company has plans to open new production lines for its GT One, Silver, 32 Degree brand cigarettes and Vaquero Little Cigars. The company has hired more than 70 employees since moving from Miami last year to be closer to the heart of tobacco production in the country. The company has committed to creating 200 tobacco-manufacturing jobs over the next three years. Enditem
