General Tobacco's Mayodan Plant in Production Source from: tr.itsmyiq.com Mar 6, 2008 03/07/2008 General Tobacco has started production at, and distribution from, its newly completed $55 million plant in Mayodan, North Carolina, according to a report in the Winston-Salem Journal.
General moved to Mayodan from Miami last year to be closer to the heart of the US' leaf tobacco production.
The company has started manufacturing its Broncos cigarettes at the new facility, while production of its GT One, Silver and 32 Degree cigarettes, along with production of its Vaquero Little Cigars, is expected to begin this month.
The company is committed to creating 200 tobacco-manufacturing jobs during the next three years. Enditem
