Demand for Pakistan's Leaf Falls

Demand for leaf tobacco in Pakistan next year has fallen by just over 10 per cent from the level of this year, according to Tobacco Board figures reported by the Business Recorder. Tobacco manufacturing and exporting companies are required to declare their requirements by October 21 for the following year. Overall, the demand for next year is 70.983 million kg, down from 79.160 million kg this year. Demand for flue-cured is down by nearly four per cent from 74.070 million kg to 66.520 million kg, while demand for white patta is down by 18 per cent from 3.870 million kg to 3.168 million kg, and demand for Burley is down by 38 per cent from 0.600 million kg to 0.370 million kg.
