Wrapping Paper Shortage in Zimbabwe

A shortage of tobacco wrapping paper in Zimbabwe is forcing tobacco farmers to buy it from informal traders who charge up to 10 times the official price, reports The Herald. Wilson Nyabonda, president of the Zimbabwe Commercial Farmers' Union, says the industry needs US$167,000 to import the paper to cover the anticipated 80 million kg expected to be delivered to the auction floors this season.
