Zim Man Held for Tobacco Haul Source from: 18/04/2007 21:31 - (SA) Johanesburg 04/20/2007 A Zimbabwean was arrested after he was found with 240 boxes of compressed and unprocessed tobacco in Soshanguve on Wednesday afternoon, said Pretoria police.
Inspector Paul Ramoloko said police were following information which led them to a house in Soshanguve where they found the tobacco.
"The tobacco could be used for making illegal cigarettes," said Ramoloko.
He said a box weighed about 200kg.
The 36-year-old man was arrested and charged with possession of stolen goods.
Ramoloko said more arrests were imminent.
The man was expected to appear in Ga-Rankuwa magistrate's court soon. Enditem
