Cotton and Tobacco to Suffer Source from: znbc.co.zm 01/09/2007 Agriculture Minister, Ben Kapita says Cotton and Tobacco in Eastern Province are likely to suffer.
This is because there has been a reduction of farmers who have cultivated the crop.
Mr. Kapita said the development has arisen because farmers and ginners could not agree on the sale price of the crop this farming season.
The Minister was speaking after a familiarization tour of the Cargill Cotton Plant in Chipata.
Mr. Kapita however assured the farming community that government will continue to facilitate negotiations between farmers and ginners. Enditem
